Chatom,AL : Man ejected from vehicle, killed in fatal crash in Chatom on August, Wednesday 2nd 2017

A 21-year-old man from St. Stephens was killed early Wednesday morning in fatal car crash, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

ALEA spokesman Kevin Cook reported that at 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday Caleb Michael Bailey was killed when the 2008 Infinity G37 he was driving ran off the road, overturned and struck a utility pole.

Cook said Alabama State Troopers who investigated the initial crash reported that Bailey was not using a seat belt at the time. He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Cook said the crash occurred on Alabama 56 at the 27.10 mile marker, 12 miles east of Chatom.
