Washington Township ,OH: Mark Hoffman, 42 killed after crashing into tree on Saturday night ,September 5th 2015

A man was killed after crashing into a tree in Washington Township Saturday night.

Mark Hoffman, 42, of Oregonia was driving a 2001 Toyota Tundra westbound on Wilmington Road when he lost control and hit a tree near Lincoln Road around 8:45 p.m., according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Hoffman was the only occupant in the vehicle and died at the scene, the release states.

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Investigators believe speed and alcohol are factors in the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
