Brick, NJ : Man died when car crashed into the woods on the Garden State Parkway on Thursday, Oct 8, 2015

Authorities say a man was killed in New Jersey when his car crashed into the woods on a parkway.

The crash happened at around 12 p.m. Thursday on the northbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway in Brick.

Police say a man driving a Cadillac veered to the right across a couple of lanes and struck a Lexus from behind. It then ran off the road and hit some trees.

Investigators believe the driver may have suffered a medical emergency before the crash. His identity has not been released.

Authorities say the passenger in the Cadillac suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The driver of the Lexus was not injured.
