GIBSONBURG, OH : 2 killed in Gibsonburg crash on Sunday, 30th June 2024

Two men died after their vehicle crashed into a tree in Sandusky County Sunday night.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Andrew Widmer of Gibsonburg was driving a 1997 Jeep Wrangler west on W. Stevenson St. near N. Patterson St. when he lost control. After striking the tree, both were ejected from the vehicle. Widmer was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, though the passenger, Emilio Chavez, was not.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
