Circleville, OH : Single-vehicle accident sends two to hospital on Monday August 29, 2016.
Two Westfall High School students were injured in a single-vehicle rollover that happened around 2:45 p.m. Monday on state Route 56 West at Hall Rd. Deputy Matt Lane, Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office, said Kaitlyn Peebles, 17, of Orient was westbound on state Route 56 when she lost control of her Ford Fusion as she was rounding a curve just east of Hall Road. Her vehicle crossed over the eastbound lane where at traveled approximately 60 to 70 yards through a yard. The vehicle rolled several times, crossing over Hall Road and coming to a rest on its top in a corn field. According to Lane, high school students who arrived at the scene helped get Peebles out of her vehicle by knocking out the rear window. Lane said a male passenger managed to get out of the vehicle on his own. Tri-County Joint Fire Department transported Peebles to Mount Carmel West and the passenger to Berger Hospital. Lane said it was a good thing that both were wearing seat belts, considering how many times the vehicle rolled. The accident remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
