Upstate woman killed after car rolls back, hits her

The Pickens County coroner said a woman died after her vehicle rolled back and hit her.

The accident happened on Fernwood Drive near Roper Road in Easley at 7:17 a.m. Friday.

The coroner said Jessica Hoepelman-Garcia, 34, was behind the vehicle when it rolled back and hit her.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
