St. Landry Parish, LA : 2 die in head-on crash in St. Landry Parish on Saturday, 25th April, 2020

Two people were killed in a head-on crash in St. Landry Parish over the weekend, according to Louisiana State Police.

At about 10 p.m. Saturday, 43-year-old Ramando Royston, of Opelousas, was driving his Chevrolet Suburban south on Louisiana 182. At the same time, 20-year-old Brashley Chambers, of Opelousas, was driving her Honda Accord north.

For reasons unknown, Royson's Suburban crossed the center line and hit the Accord head-on in the northbound lane near Annointing Drive, state police said.

Chambers was not wearing a seatbelt, but Royston was at the time of the crash, state police said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
