BIRMINGHAM, AL : Ashville Police searching for suspect in hit-and-run on Friday, 26th April 2024

Ashville Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run that left a motorcyclist severely injured.

One investigator took it upon himself to visit WBRC because he’s focused on finding the person responsible.

Ashville Police investigator Lamar Lackey says the incident happened April 14 at roughly 4:08pm at Highway 231 and Beason Cove Road. Police say a truck rear-ended the motorcyclist, and they say the driver didn’t even slow down.

Officials say they’re looking for a 2017-2022 red GMC Canyon that would have significant front end damage.
