Danforth,IL : A 64-year-old Gregory Ainsworth died in a two car crash at East 2300N Road on March, Wednesday 7th 2018
Gregory Ainsworth, of rural Danforth, died as a result of injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash on East 2300N Road at the intersection of North 300E Road, 5 miles west of Danforth on Wednesday.
According to Iroquois County Coroner Bill Cheatum, the 64-year-old Ainsworth was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:30 p.m.
Cheatum said the impact of the crash sent Ainsworth's vehicle into a ditch.
According to a release from Iroquois County Sheriff's police, Ainsworth's vehicle was westbound on East 2300N Road when he was struck on the driver's side door by a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Terri Vadeboncoeur, of Onarga. She was northbound on 300 E Road.
Cheatum said it is an unmarked intersection.
Vadeboncoeur and a passenger were transported to Riverside Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Police and the coroner's office continue to investigate.
Danforth Fire Department and Riverside Ambulance assisted.
