Poughkeepsie, NY : Four family members injured in ATV crash near their Fishkill Road home on Sunday night, May 8, 2016

Four members of a North Highlands family were injured in an ATV crash Sunday night near their Fishkill Road home.

The Putnam 9-1-1 Dispatch Center in Carmel received a call reporting the mishap around 9 p.m. and dispatched police, fire and EMS personnel.

Putnam Sheriff’s Department Captain William McNamara told the PCNR Monday afternoon that an accident investigation report was not yet completed. However, he identified the injured as four members of the Linder family—Eric Linder, 45, and his three children—Hannah, 17, Katie, 14 and Lucas, 12.

All were taken by ambulances to Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie.

McNamara said the extent of the injuries ranged from head trauma to leg and back injuries.

Fire and emergency units from North Highlands, Cold Spring, Philipstown and Beacon assisted.

Meanwhile, Continental Village FD personnel assisted State Police along with emergency responders from Rockland and Orange counties Sunday evening in searching for the body of a man presumed drowned after jumping from the Bear Mountain Bridge.

Troop K Public Information Officer Trooper Melissa McMorris said the man is believed to be a 27 year old from Pomona in Rockland County. She said identification was made by evidence recovered from the victim’s vehicle that he parked on the bridge before jumping.
