ANDERSON COUNTY, SC : 1 dead after head-on collision in Upstate on Saturday, 14th August 2021

One person is dead and several others were injured following a head-on collision early Saturday morning, according to the Anderson County Coroners Office.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Reed Road.The Coroners Office identified the victim as 44-year-old Nicolas Gabriel Williams. The Coroner said Williams died during surgery.

According to the Coroner, a car traveling west on Reed Road crossed the center line and hit Williams' car head-on. Three victims involved in the crash were air lifted to the Trauma Center in Greenville.

The investigation remains on-going.
