ICARD, NC : 2 people injured after wreck on I-40 on Monday, 28th January 2019

Two people were injured after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 on Monday afternoon.

Edgar Xavier Quinones, of Morganton, was driving westbound on Interstate 40 near the 115 mile marker when he failed to stop and collided with another vehicle, said Trooper C. Hallyburton with The North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Traffic was starting to slow due to paving construction and Quinones failed to stop with the traffic, he said.
