Three people were flown to area hospitals — one in critical condition — following a six-vehicle collision Wednesday night on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township.

The crash occurred just before 5 p.m. near Copper Road intersection — just to the east of the Sheetz station at the intersection of routes 422 and 388.
