COLUMBUS, NE : A 31-year-old Bellwood man died from injuries sustainedin a motorcycle crash on Sunday, June 4, 2017

A 31-year-old Bellwood man died from injuries sustained Sunday night in a motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 81 northwest of Columbus.

According to the Platte County Sheriff's Office, William Nickels was riding a 1980 Kawasaki motorcycle north on the highway around 10 p.m. when he lost control about a mile north of the Highway 22 junction and was thrown from the bike.
