The Spartanburg County Coroner and Highway Patrol are investigating after a single-car fatal collision occurred in Spartanburg Saturday.
Roy C. Rodgers, 69 of Inman, was involved in a single car crash on New Cut Road at Black Road in Spartanburg County at 3:54 p.m., the coroner reports.
Rodgers was brought into surgery and passed away from his injuries at 8:24 p.m.
Troopers said Rodgers was heading west in a 2013 Toyota SUV when he veered off the road, over corrected, veered off both sides of the road several times in an attempt to regain control of the vehicle, and eventually ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
