Spooner,WI : A Spooner man was killed on July, Saturday 15th 2017
A Spooner man was killed as the result of a motorcycle crash on Hwy. A west of Spooner on Saturday, July 15.
The Wisconsin State Patrol has identified the deceased as 68-year-old Jerome Burnham.
According to a news release from the State Patrol:
At approximately 3:03 p.m. a Wisconsin State Trooper responded to a motorcycle crash at N2980 Hwy. A, Township of Evergreen, west of Spooner.
Upon arrival, two City of Spooner Police officers were on-scene and CPR was being administered to the driver, who was pulseless and not breathing. CPR was continued by all responders, along with the use of a defibrillator. The driver did regain a pulse and breathing prior to being air lifted from the scene. Burnham later succumbed to his injuries.
Prior to the crash, Mr. Burnham was westbound on Hwy. A and had just negotiated a curve in the road. The cause for the motorcycle leaving the roadway has not been determined. Burnham was driving a 1959 Cushman motorcycle.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
