Pemiscot County, MO : Southeast Missouri man died in single-car crash on U.S. 412 in Pemiscot County on Tuesday, June 30, 2015

A Southeast Missouri man has died after crashing his car in the Missouri Bootheel.

According to a crash report with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Corey W. Jackson of Bragg City, MO, was driving on Route A, north of U.S. 412 in Pemiscot County when he ran off the road.

Police said he hit a ditch embankment and overturned.

He was thrown from the car.

Rescue crews took him to the Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, where he was pronounced dead.

The crash report indicted Jackson was not wearing a seat belt.
