Morrisville, VT : Car crashes into Lamoille River on Saturday night, April 30, 2016

New video this morning of a crash overnight that landed a man in the Lamoille River.

Deputies tell us, the driver crossed the center line, hit a culvert and that launched his car over the guard rail and into the river.

It happened in Morrisville.

They say, he got out of his car and climbed an embankment and that's where they found him they got here just after 11:30 last night.

"When officers arrived they found debris in the roadway and we could hear someone hollering for help. We found the operator who we believe to be the operator on the cliff's edge of the river injured and then we located his vehicle in the river itself just below the power plant here on Cadys Falls Road.

The Lamoille County Sheriff's Office says, the driver was taken to UVM with a head injury.

The drivers name has not been released, but they say, alcohol was involved and charges will be filed.
