Two drivers were taken to the hospital after crashing near one of Fort Carson’s gates.
Drivers trying to get on post during the Monday morning commute likely ran into delays, with the two-vehicle collision blocking lanes at Highway 115 and Pine Oak Road, just outside gate 5.
State Patrol is still investigating what led up to the crash but say it was reported shortly before 6:40 a.m. and was cleared about 80 minutes later. The collision involved a Toyota Highlander and a Honda Accord.
At the time of this writing, there’s no word on either driver’s condition or whether one or both work or report to Fort Carson.
