A woman and a child were injured when the car they were in crashed into woods in the median off Interstate 295 Tuesday afternoon.
The accident was reported about 3:20 p.m. on the I-295 North ramp near Emerald Square mall.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, a fire official said.
