ARDMORE, AL : Tennessee man killed in Limestone traffic accident on Monday, December 5th 2016
A Tennessee man was killed this morning when he was ejected from his vehicle in a two-vehicle accident on Alabama 53 a few miles south of the Tennessee state line, according to state troopers and Limestone County Coroner Mike West.
Jonathan Stanley, 28, of Prospect, Tennessee, was pronounced dead at the scene on Alabama 53 just north of Pinedale Road, authorities said. Stanley was not wearing a seat belt, a trooper spokeswoman said.
Jeremy Chambers, 34, of Harvest, was trapped in the 2007 Ford pickup truck he was driving, according to troopers and West. He was wearing a seat belt. Ardmore Fire and Rescue cut portions of the truck to rescue Chambers, West said. Athens EMS took Chambers to Huntsville Hospital. A condition listing for Chambers was not immediately available.
Stanley was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer south on Alabama 53 at about 7:40 a.m. when the vehicle left the road, West and troopers said. Stanley's vehicle then traveled into the path of Chambers’ northbound pickup truck, West said.
