Augusta, GA : Car crashes into house in Laney Walker area on Tuesday, March 7th 2017

Police said the person who crashed into a house on Laney Walker Boulevard on Tuesday evening was driving under the influence.

Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were called to residence at the corner of Laney Walker Boulevard and Cherry Avenue about 8:30 p.m. and discovered a 2002 Lincoln LS had crashed into the residence. The crash resulted in a ruptured gas line.

The driver, who has not been identified, was treated for non-life threatening injuries. According to the sheriff’s office, the driver will face multiple charges including driving under the influence.
