CEDAR RAPIDS, IA : Arrest made in Fayette Co hit and run on Thursday, 25th July 2024

A Postville man is facing multiple charges stemming from a hit and run crash that resulted in injuries earlier this month.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Jackson Wedo is charged with Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident and Following Too Close.

The sheriff’s office says on July 9, the driver of a black SUV drove away after rear-ending a Ford Mustang that had slowed down for a tractor on Highway 50 south of the Eldorado hill.

The sheriff’s office says on July 24, investigators located a SUV matching the description of the suspect vehicle. The SUV also had paint transfer and damage consistent with the Mustang that was hit.
