El Paso, CO : Man dies in accident on Colo. 115, near the El Paso/Fremont county line on Tuesday, 21st April, 2020

A 45-year-old man died after he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with an oncoming car Tuesday afternoon on Colo. 115, near the El Paso/Fremont county line.

The Colorado State Patrol said the man lost control of his 2015 Harley Davidson while traveling northbound on Colo.115 and entered the southbound lanes impacting a southbound 2001 Lincoln Continental driven by an 80-year-old female.

The motorcyclist died on scene. The Continental passenger, a 79-year-old, was life-flighted to Memorial Hospital, the CSP stated in a press release. The driver of the Continental was taken by ambulance to Memorial hospital. Both occupants sustained moderate injuries.

The speed of the motorcycle is being investigated.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
