Three people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck near Shenandoah Tuesday afternoon.
Jordan Davis, 23, Phyllis Shields, 82, and her husband Kenneth Shields, 85, all of Farragut, were injured in a wreck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and West Ridge Drive, near the Pella Corporation, according to the Shenandoah Police Department.
Police said Phyllis Shields was driving west on West Ridge Drive when it appears she tried to make a U-turn at the intersection. Shields pulled her 2007 Chevrolet Uplander onto Highway 59 and was struck by Davis, driving a 1990 Ford Festiva northbound on the highway.
After the collision, both vehicles ended up in the middle of Highway 59, blocking traffic for about 30 minutes.
