Gainesville, FL : A Daytona man was injured on Sunday, August 20, 2017

A Daytona man was injured Sunday after a tire blew on the semi-truck he was driving, causing it to travel into a ditch where it overturned, according to an FHP release.

The release said that Jayson Westberry, 37, of Daytona, was traveling south on I-75 through Alachua County at around 12:10 p.m. Sunday when the front tire of the semi-truck he was driving blew, causing the semi-truck to jackknife as it traveled onto the west shoulder of the highway.

The folded semi-truck then hit a ditch, causing it to flip onto its side.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Troopers said in the release that Westberry received only minor injuries from the crash, which is still under investigation at this time.
