Murphysboro, IL : 2 airlifted to St. Louis hospitals after Sunday motorcycle crash at the intersection of Jenkins and McLaughlin roads on Sunday, 7th July 2019

Two people involved in a motorcycle crash Sunday have been airlifted to St. Louis hospitals with serious injuries, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

At about 6:30 p.m., deputies responded a single motorcycle crash at the intersection of Jenkins and McLaughlin roads. There, the release states, deputies discovered that a motorcycle had been traveling northbound on McLaughlin Road at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate the turn at Jenkins Road, striking a nearby structure.The release says the riders of the motorcycle were identified as Clyde Dobyns, 47, and Scott Dobyns, 45, both of Murphysboro. Both were flown to hospitals for serious injuries.
