Conecuh County, AL : 13-year-old girl killed, two injured in Conecuh County crash on Tuesday afternoon, October 28, 2014

A 13-year-old girl died on Tuesday afternoon in a two-car collision near Evergreen, according to Alabama State Troopers. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Medical technicians pronounced Carla Sharice Stanton, of Repton, dead at the scene of the crash on Conecuh County Road 15, Trooper Kevin Cook said. The accident happened about four miles west of Evergreen at 5:25 p.m. Carla was riding in a 2013 Hyundai driven by 43-year-old Marie Stanton, of Castleberry. The car collided with a 2010 Mercedes driven by 40-year-old Rayvon Ross II, of Evergreen. Authorities transported Marie Stanton to Sacred Heart Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Ross was transported to the Evergreen Medical Center. Troopers on Wednesday continued to investigate the cause of the accident.
