SYRACUSE, NY : 2 injured in crash near Green Lakes State Park on Wednesday, 31st July 2019

Two people suffered “significant” injuries Tuesday night after a motorcycle hit a deer on East Genesee Street, near Green Lakes State Park, according to Manlius police.

Both were taken to Upstate University Hospital and are expected to survive, police said.

The crash was reported at 7:30 p.m. between George Taylor Drive and Townsend Road on State Route 5, according to Onondaga County 911 dispatch logs.The deer jumped into the road as the motorcycle was being driven, police said. A man and a woman, both 37, were injured in the crash.
