Kingfisher, OK : 2 injured in 3-vehicle crash on Oklahoma 33 about 8 miles east on Thursday, 1st August 2019

Two people were injured Thursday morning in a three-vehicle crash east of Kingfisher, Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting.

The crash occurred about 7 a.m. on Oklahoma 33 about 8 miles east of Kingfisher, according to an OHP report.

Brett Conway Cox, 25, of Elk City, was westbound on Oklahoma 33 in a 2012 Chevy pickup. Francisco J. Guzman, 27, of Clinton, driving a 2018 Ram pickup, and Janice Marie Fuksa, 54, of Hennessey, driving a 2015 Chevy Equinox, were both westbound on Oklahoma 33, according to the report. Cox fell asleep and crossed the centerline. Guzman drove off the road, but Cox's vehicle struck the trailer Guzman was towing. Cox's Chevy continued west in the eastbound lane. Fuksa drove into the south ditch to avoid the crash, but Cox's vehicle also went into the south ditch. Fuska's vehicle struck Cox's vehicle.

Cox was transported from the scene by private vehicle to Mercy Kingfisher and was treated and released for a head injury, according to the report. Fuksa was transported by Kingfisher EMS to McBride Orthopedic in Oklahoma City and admitted in stable condition with an arm injury. Guzman and his three passengers were not injured.
