A North Carolina woman was killed in one of two accidents that shut down traffic on Interstate 20 Wednesday evening.
Police said that Victoria Reeder Hall, 65, of Monroe, N.C., was a passenger in a white Lexus, driven by her husband, Calvin Homer Hall, 72, traveling west on I-20 around 4 p.m.
According to authorities, Calvin Hall swerved to miss a car that had been involved in a three-car crash earlier. The Lexus left the roadway and overturned over the cable barrier in the median. Victoria Hall, who was not wearing a seat-belt, was ejected from the rear window . She died at the scene, and Calvin Hall was transported to Augusta State Medical Center with a head injury.
