COLUMBIA FALLS, MT : 2 people die in fiery, head-on crash on U.S. Highway 2 in northwestern Montana on Thursday, 26th July 2018

Two people died in a fiery, head-on collision on U.S. Highway 2 in northwestern Montana.

The Montana Highway Patrol says a northbound pickup crossed into the southbound passing lane and struck another pickup head-on Thursday afternoon near Columbia Falls. Both vehicles caught fire.

Flathead County Undersheriff Dave Lieb says there were reports of a pickup driving erratically before the crash.
