Rochester police are investigating a hit-and-run crash and say charges are likely forthcoming.

According to authorities, a Ford F-350 driven by a 63-year-old Northwood man was pulling out of the Cumberland Farms on North Main Street on Tuesday around 7:15 p.m. when it was hit by a Toyota Tundra.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged.

Police said the Toyota's airbags deployed, but the driver did not stop. Witnesses said there was a young girl in the passenger seat.

The driver of the Ford was taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. His passenger was not injured.

Investigators found the Toyota soon after, but it had been abandoned. Police later identified the driver as Daniel Loring, 40, of Farmington, and the passenger as his 8-year-old daughter.

Neither Loring nor the girl were injured.

Authorities said the crash is under investigation and charges are likely.
