EASTON, MA : Two people were injured in a collision on Monday, June 12, 2017
Two people were injured in a collision Monday afternoon after police say a driver ran a stop sign.
Officers responded to a report of a two-car crash at Norfolk Avenue and Bristol Drive, inside the Easton Industrial Park, at 12:40 p.m. Police received multiple 911 calls about the crash, including one from OnStar reporting one of the drivers may have been unconscious. When firefighters arrived, they found a woman unresponsive, but with a pulse, in the driver’s seat of a black sedan. She quickly regained consciousness, but had to be lifted out of her car after paramedics put a neck brace on her.
The driver of the other vehicle involved, a gray Chevrolet Malibu SUV, was out of his car and on the sidewalk, being tended to by two of his friends.
One of the friends told The Enterprise that he received a call from the third friend, a woman, they had just finished lunch with. She was called by the friend who was in the crash. They both responded to the scene of the crash and tended to their friend while awaiting paramedics.
That male victim, who is in his 70s, suffered a shoulder injury, including a cut to his arm. Paramedics put his left arm in a sling and he was wheeled into an ambulance on a stretcher.
Both were taken by separate ambulances, one from Easton and the other from West Bridgewater, to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
