BROCKTON, MA : Brockton crash leaves truck on top of 3 cars, driver flees scene on Friday, 19th April 2024

A pickup truck struck a building in Brockton early Friday morning before hitting several cars – and then flipping and landing on top of them.

Brockton Fire responded to the accident on Montello Street around 2:30 a.m. and worked to clear the scene and the mess. Officials said there was minor damage to the building that was struck, but no injuries were reported. The driver also hit a fire hydrant.

Officials said the driver of the truck ran away and police are on the lookout. Police ran the truck’s license plates and said the its owner was not the one driving.

“We all were sleeping and then we heard a noise outside, and then we came out and just saw the cars,” said Filipe Alves, the owner of a white van that was hit. “It’s really bad. The situation is really bad.”
