HOUSTON, TX : 2 killed in multivehicle crash on Grand Parkway near FM 2920 on Wednesday, 12th December 2018

Two people were killed Wednesday in a multivehicle crash on the Grand Parkway.

The crash was reported about 2 p.m. on the eastbound side of the parkway near FM Road 2920.Witnesses told the Harris County Sheriff’s Office that a man driving a pickup truck westbound on the Grand Parkway drifted off the road, banged into a concrete wall, then crossed over the median into the opposite side of the freeway.

Sgt. Aric Albers, of the Sheriff’s Office, said the truck then became airborne before striking the first of several cars, sheering the top off it.

“It struck the first vehicle that was traveling eastbound pretty high up on the vehicle. That eastbound vehicle almost acted like a ramp,” Albers said.
