MORRIS, IL : Youth charged after car crash on Sunday, November 13th 2016

A juvenile male is at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood following a car crash.

According to Sgt. Scott Angus of the Illinois State Police, one of the officers was following the vehicle when a second officer came to assist. At that point, the driver of the vehicle fled and then crashed, Angus said.

This occurred at 9:28 p.m. on Interstate 80 eastbound at the 121 mile marker, which is between Morris and Minooka, Angus said.

The juvenile was taken to Morris Hospital and then transferred to Loyola. He was charged with fleeing and eluding and possession of a stolen vehicle, Angus said.

Illinois State Police is investigating the incident, Angus said.
