San Andreas, CA : Two Valley Springs residents injured in crash on Highway 12 and Central Hill Road on Thursday, August 25, 2016

California Highway Patrol reported Friday that two Valley Springs residents were involved in an accident Thursday on Highway 12.

Ana Bobrycki, 17, and William Bray, 94, collided shortly after noon Thursday on Highway 12 and Central Hill Road. Bray sustained minor injuries. No information was released by the CHP as to Bobrycki’s condition.

Bobrycki was driving her Toyota westbound on Highway 12 at approximately 55 miles per hour when her car veered off the road and onto the north dirt shoulder during a sweeping right curve, the CHP said. Bobrycki attempted to turn back onto the roadway and lost control, traveling into the eastbound lane and colliding with Bray as he traveled eastbound.

The CHP said that Bray attempted to avoid the collision by turning to the right and the right rear of Bobrycki’s vehicle collided with the left front of Bray’s Ford. Bray’s vehicle was driven onto the south shoulder and Bobrycki traveled back across the lanes, coming to a rest on the north embankment.
