STONY RUN TOWNSHIP, MN : Child injured in construction zone crash on Highway 2121 on Wednesday, 18th July 2018

A 7-year old boy from Weslaco, Texas was seriously injured in a rear-end accident in a construction zone Wednesday morning on U.S. Highway 212 between Montevideo and Granite Falls. Jared David Trevino suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Also injured in the crash with non-life threatening injuries, and taken to Granite Falls Hospital, was Scott Wade Powell, 55, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Neftali Emanuel Lagunas, 21, of Marshall and Israel Eleazar Quintilla, 15. Quintilla’s city of origin was reported unknown.
