Iowa City, IA : Kalona man dies after his motorcycle collided with a minivanin on Sharon Center Road on Friday night, May 20, 2016

A Kalona man died Friday night after his motorcycle collided with a minivan.

According to news release from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, Kevin Miller of Kalona was traveling northbound at about 7 p.m. on Sharon Center Road, northeast of Kalona. His motorcycle crossed into the wrong side of the road and collided with a southbound-traveling minivan.

Both vehicles involved in the crash caught on fire, according to the release. Miller died at the scene. The four occupants of the minivan, Laura Schrock of Iowa City and three children, were unharmed.

The crash is currently under investigation by Iowa State Patrol, according to the news release.
