Port Townsend, WA : Hadlock woman suffers minor injuries after traffic collision in Chimacum on Tuesday morning, September 27, 2016

An 86-year old Port Hadlock woman was taken to Jefferson Healthcare with minor injuries after a two-car accident in Chimacum late Tuesday morning.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the woman was southbound on Chimacum Road when she attempted a left-hand turn onto Elkins Road (near the sheriff’s office) in front of a northbound Volkswagen Eurovan being driven by a 34-year old Seattle man.

The two vehicles collided, sending the woman’s gold Toyota Camry spinning 180 degrees and partially blocking Chimacum Road.

EJFR personnel were toned to the accident at 11:54 a.m. and treated the woman before transporting her to the hospital. The driver of the Eurovan was uninjured.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
