Young man, woman killed in overnight crash near Centralia Washington

A young man and woman were killed when their speeding car slammed into a tanker truck on a rural road north of Centralia, the Washington State Patrol reported.
State troopers responded to the scene, in the 100 block of Big Hanaford Road, at about 9:40 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a serious crash.A preliminary investigation found that a 2000 Kia Spectra driven by Jonathan W. Parker, 20, of Centralia was heading west on Big Hanaford Road when Parker lost control and veered across the center line and crashed into a 2006 Freightliner tanker heading in the opposite direction.Parker and his passenger, Tiara F. Kalebaugh, 18, of Pe Ell were both killed. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tanker truck was unhurt.Excessive speed was the primary factor in the crash, the Washington State Patrol said.
