Portland, OR : Spider causes rollover crash in Portland on Wednesday, 21st September 2016
A woman suffered only minor injuries after she was driving on Northwest Thompson Road in Washington County on Wednesday morning when along came a spider, which distracted the driver, and led the vehicle astray, officials said.
The woman apparently became frightened when the arachnid dropped down from her rearview mirror as she approached Northwest McDaniels Road, officials said, and she lost control of the vehicle, flipping the car in the ensuing crash.The driver suffered only a minor scratch to her hand, KATU reported, but it was unclear whether the spider was injured.
The road was cut to one lane following the crash while crews worked to remove the overturned vehicle.
