MINOOKA, IL : One dead in a crash on Ridge Road south of Interstate 80 on Wednesday, 12th December 2018

A Minooka resident is dead after a crash Wednesday afternoon on Ridge Road south of Interstate 80.

Minooka police said they received a call of a motor vehicle crash at 12:15 p.m. A GMC Canyon was traveling north on Ridge Road when it struck a white Mercedes coming off the eastbound I-80 exit.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a male Minooka resident, was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, but died on the way, Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer said. Police could not say if his death was related to the crash.
