Four people were injured in a vehicle accident in Mt. Holly Friday. Three of those injured were trapped inside a car and had to be rescued.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. on the 1100 block of W. Charlotte Avenue when, troopers say, a sedan slowed for traffic and was rear-ended by a black pickup truck.
Four people were injured and taken to local hospitals. All four are expected to be okay. Their names have not been released.
WBTV's Sky 3 was over the scene where rescue crews worked to free three people from the 4-door silver car.
Firefighters could be seen removing the car's windshield and cutting the roof off before taking three people from the vehicle on stretchers.
The silver car was just off the roadway and had heavy rear-end damage. The black pickup truck could also be seen off the road with front-end damage.
Troopers said the driver of the truck, whose name has not been released, was cited for failure to reduce speed.
