GIRARD, PA : A one-vehicle accident on Route 20 in Girard Township on Saturday, October, 14th 2017

Two people were injured Saturday night in a one-vehicle accident on Route 20 in Girard Township.

The crash occurred at 10:18 p.m. when the vehicle struck a pole in the 8600 block of Route 20, Erie County dispatchers said. First responders had to extricate the driver and a passenger from the vehicle.

One victim was transported by ambulance to UPMC Hamot, dispatchers said. It wasn’t immediately known if the other victim was taken to a hospital.
