Marshall, MO : Two vehicles crashed in north Marshall on Wednesday, May 31, 2017

Traffic was easily directed Wednesday afternoon, May 31, after two vehicles crashed in north Marshall. At approximately 12:30 p.m., two passenger cars collided at the intersection of Odell Avenue and Route 240. Marshall Police Department, the Marshall Fire Department and Saline County Ambulance District 3 all responded. It appeared that all parties were able to exit their vehicles and there were not any reported injuries at the time. There have been 19 vehicle crashes at this intersection since Jan. 1, 2014, according to statistics from MPD. Of those, eight have been injury accidents, in which 15 persons were injured. Statistics provided by the department also show that in that same time period, there have been 843 vehicular accidents total throughout the city of Marshall. The number of crashes at the Odell Avenue and state Highway 240 intersection amounts to 2.25 percent of all accidents investigated by the department since 2014.
