Cresco, IA : Woman injured in crash next to Chester Woods Park on Tuesday morning July 1st 2014

A Cresco, Iowa, woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on U.S. 14 next to Chester Woods Park, east of Rochester.

Laura Zubrod, 32, was westbound on the highway when the car she was driving struck the rear of a pickup driven by Riley Mickow, 17, of Elgin, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. Mickow was attempting to turn into the park, the report says.

Zubrod was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys campus, with injuries that were not life-threatening, the report says.

The crash on the two-lane stretch of highway happened at 7:50 a.m. The report says that Zubrod wasn't wearing a seat belt.
