LINN COUNTY, OR : 1 dead after crash on I-5 in Linn County on Sunday, 21st July 2024

A 53-year-old man is dead after the car he was a passenger in was rear-ended on I-5 early Sunday morning, according to the Oregon State Police.

Police say that Scott Alan Palmer was the passenger in a Toyota Camry driven by 37-year-old Justin Michael Palmer, that was struck from behind by a Lexus GS driven by 23-year-old Isael Garcia just after 2:00 a.m. near milepost 222 in Linn County.

Scott Palmer was declared dead at the scene, while Justin Palmer was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. His current condition has not been made public.
