LAKELAND, FL : 1 dead after 2-vehicle crash in Lakeland on Tuesday, 31st July 2018

A 19-year-old Mulberry woman died and two other people suffered critical injuries in a head-on, two-vehicle crash just before noon Tuesday on County Line Road near Pipkin Road.shley Salcedo of 555 Dean St., Mulberry, died at the scene. Her passenger, 20-year-old Angel Martinez, 9709 Bryant Road, Lithia, suffered critical, but not-life-threatening injuries, according to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the other vehicle, Jennifer Holley, 28, of 4828 N. Dossey Wood Court, Lakeland, suffered two broken legs and it took an hour for emergency rescue crews to remove her from her car, a 2014 Cadillac ATS, according to the release.Salcedo had been driving south on County Line Road in a black 2014 Hyundai Sonata when her car suddenly crossed the median into the northbound lane of traffic, hitting Holley’s Cadillac head-on, the news release said.
